I am a 21 year old Brazilian girl. I am taking International Relations only to discover how this crappy system works. No doubts, I am each day more disappointed. This CANNOT continue. CAPITALISM SHOULD DIE…
It’s already failing; but until its end, it will continue making us fail first. Where’s the logic? Just put an end! I am the 99% There’s no land of opportunity!!!!!!!

You know as much as people would like Capitalism to fall, no one has a suitable replacement.
And capitalism isn’t so much the issue in my opinion.
Unchecked greed is the main issue I think. In every economy someone wants to make/keep/spend all the money.
The main issue is the government and business should be separate (as was intended with Church and state). The US Government giving companies the rights or status of individual citizens was a perversion of everything right. Hopefully, that one will go (back?) to the Supreme Court.
Companies should be forced to get things done the same way people do - convince EVERYONE (e.g. their employees, the public) that something makes sense. Then if everyone agrees they can communicate with their representatives and then unelect them if they screw up.
Companies don’t vote, so they don’t elect and thus shouldn’t get a direct say.
Also, what we have is not pure capitalism by a long shot. With all the regulations, artificial controls, etc. It’s not a free market by a long shot.
It’s a system controlled by a very small group of like-minded (albeit normally narrow-minded too) people who couldn’t give a crap about the rest of us.
The worse part is, for those of us that work, we’re working for them and feeding their coffers directly or indirectly.
And in my opinion I’m not sure who’s making it worse - that narrow-minded group or the collective get-nothing-done governments out there in the world.
